Thanksgiving

There are 21 days left in the year 2022 and The Grace Movement is honored to lead the world in this season of Thanksgiving for the remainder of the year!

For each day left in the year we will write at least 3 things we are grateful for. This will probably be the quite familiar to you. However, the moment Thanksgiving becomes familiar or routine it loses its potency! Every occasion to thank God should feel brand new because His mercies are new every second of the day! As a Movement, Thanksgiving means much more than the utterance of two words in the English language. To us, Thanksgiving is the eternal posture of our hearts and souls! Thanksgiving originates from the deepest parts of our being.

Our model for this season will be David in Psalm 103:1-2.

"Praise the LORD, O my soul; ALL my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not ALL His benefits"

This morning, let ALL your soul, and ALL your innermost be postured in gratitude!

Don't rush and and don't be light or superficial. Rather, take a moment on your knees to write about the expressions of God’s goodness in your life and your family.

In addition to thanking God with all our hearts, the psalmist instructs us not to forget "all His benefits."

All His benefits!

This is where making a conscious effort to write the elements of God’s favor comes in. As a result, this journey of Thanksgiving will be incomplete without a notebook or the note pad in your smartphone. Write as much and as often as you can.

As you do this you draw nearer to God and you position yourself firmly in His presence!

Now insert your name into the scripture and with meaning and purpose, let's begin this year's journey of Thanksgiving with ALL our hearts while we remember ALL His benefits!

Sam, Praise the LORD, O my soul;

ALL my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not ALL His benefits (Psalm 103:1-2)

Again, what 3 things are you thankful for today?

God richly bless you!
